Priscilla Wade, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist with more than 30 years of clinical experience treating a plethora of mental health conditions. Dr. Wade completed her graduate studies at Wayne State University and APA-approved pre-doctoral internship training at the University of Florida. Dr. Wade taught health psychology at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine and is a ROME Foundation–recognized GI psychologist specializing in disorders of gut–brain interaction.
Her work on intergenerational trauma has taken her across the U.S. and abroad, including presentations at the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh, where she has shared her insights across ethnic and language barriers. Her research on culturally sensitive therapy is one of the most cited bodies of work within the academic literature on therapist training.
Dr. Wade is also a former advice columnist for the Lansing State Journal. She regularly makes appearances as a guest speaker for various community organizations, educational forums, and public outreach programs.
